SELLING YOUR HOME-DON’T NEGLECT MAINTENANCE TASKS!
Below is a simple list of 5 items to take care of prior to selling!!
Since you already own a home you understand the importance of keeping your property in tiptop shape and making sure you do not defer any mainte- nance.
However, if you’re now selling your home you may be thinking that you no longer need to do any additional repairs! Sorry, but you better think twice because you still need to make sure your mainte- nance and repairs are up to date in order to sell your home.
A little routine maintenance can help you avoid a catastrophic problem that could devalue your prop- erty and derail the sale especially with inspections.
1.Make sure the outside walkways and yard is clean and manicured: Remove dead tree and hedge limbs, rake leaves, trim bushes and clean out ower- beds.
2. Pressure wash your house/roof/walkway, pati- os: If you house looks dirty, out of date or not cared for you will get a lower offer. Think “Curb Appeal”.
3.Clean the gutters and check the roof: Over ow of gutters can damage your foundation and lead to

drainage issues. Keep sidewalks clear of pine nee- dles, leaves, and moss. If buyers see gutters over- owing they may walk away!!
4. Clean all your windows, doors and garage door openings: It is imperative that all your openings are squeaky clean from the inside and outside. Be sure to wipe down all the trim around the openings and check after any storms!!
5. Make sure you stay in touch to the time of year you are selling: The time of year makes a dif- ference on how buyers will view your home. Some spring owers or holiday decorations make a state- ment on the condition of property.
