I’m a Christian pastor so this is from that persuasion.  I used to have a relative who was very sweet but when we had dinner, the servings were small.  Once she gave me a scoop of ice cream that was a scoop, I kid you not, from a melon baller.  Then she said, “Is that too much or would you like less?”  We made it practice, thereafter, whenever we went to her house for dinner, to stop at McDonald’s on the way and throw down a quarter pounder.

That’s not Jesus.  He came that we might have life to the full.  And Jesus, we are told is the head and authority of everything.  That comment means a couple things but among them is that he brings us to fullness of stature – broad shouldered, straight backed, head held high stature.

It also means as I said earlier, fullness as the master key.  Full access to God’s help.  Not a melon ball scoop.  Meditate on Jesus as our fullness.
