The Space Coast Shell Festival returns to Melbourne on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 17 & 18, 2026 and this year has moved to a new, bigger venue—the Wickham Park Community Center—to bring you even more vendors from across the country, fabulous exhibits of specimen shells and fossils from around the world, and gorgeous shell crafts. The two-day event is free to attend and offers something for the entire family.
Ever wondered if you have a rare shell? Experts will be available to identify it. Thousands of shells for crafters and collectors will be on sale in all price ranges. You can bring home shell jewelry and home décor, or just be wowed by the fabulous shell entries in the artistic competition—from shell mermaids and floral bouquets to intricate Sailor’s Valentine’s boxes. A hands-on activities Kids’ Corner will entertain the little ones. Door prizes and raffle prizes worth hundreds of dollars add to the fun.
Sponsored for 45 years by the Astronaut Trail Shell Club, this year’s event promises to be the best yet.
