It’s all about color, freedom, and letting your light shine! When you ask Tish Davis what she does, well that’s a tough question to narrow down. “Everything” would be the answer. She bakes sourdough bread, she homeschooled her children for 20 years, she wrote inspirational fiction and became a published author, she cuts hair, mows the lawn, builds frames with power tools. She’s a grandma, makes stained glass ornaments, creates digital pet portraits, and paints every chance she gets.
What holds all these activities together, you may ask? It’s faith and the desire to not just put things on a wish list – but to actually do them. Some people are travelers and want to experience new destinations. That’s not Tish. She’s a creative, a maker, a hands-on person.
She likes to paint everything from landscapes to animals, most with a coastal theme. Sometimes mountains. Always a lot of color and usually in acrylic or oil paints. Some of her paintings are as small as four inches by four inches, others are four feet by four feet.
“Everything I paint holds a special message that’s brushed in with each brushstroke. And it’s a message people respond to when they look at my artwork. The message is no secret, it’s joy, compassion, hope, life, healing, blessing, wholeness. We all crave it. Some of us find it and when we do, we want to share it. That’s what I do with my artwork.
I want people to feel happy when they look at my paintings and that’s the common feedback I receive. So please, enjoy my artwork, and let me share some happiness today.”
