International Artist Phyllis Shipley

International artist, Phyllis Shipley has successfully produced room brightening, expressive fine art for home and corporate. Artist Shipley has been a successful gallery owner, art show participant, and gallery exhibitor. The Artist began painting professionally following years of playing and teaching music with the organ and piano, raising children, and enjoying a successful career as a purchasing executive with a major chemical corporation.

Phyllis began her art studies in oil at Tennessee State University, and has extended her studies, in the United States, Europe and Central America.  She was also an original member of the Tennessee Ten Art Association.

Artist Shipley, originally from Johnson City, Tennessee, now resides in Rockledge, Florida , applying her “inner vision” to create loose and flowing colors with a music fluidity of expression. Phyllis defines her work as figurative abstractions and to quote the artist:  Color can express emotions and my goal is to express a sense of joy and excitement for being alive through my paintings”. Phyllis’s story is written in the National Digest Magazine 2021 and she is also listed in The Marquis “Who’s Who in American”, and recently on the cover of their magazine “MILLENNIUM”, 10th edition. Phyllis has also received a” lifetime achievement award” from ROYAL Publications. She is also the subject of the book “On the Road to Inner Vision” by Budd Melanson.

Phyllis has been a judge for the U.S. Congressional Art Competition for the past five years, an art exhibitor in multiple arenas, and is active in multiple galleries in the United States to include the following:
