Local Artist Robert Jahnke

In 1955 my family moved to Florida. Growing up on Lake Butler, I developed a passion for wildlife, hunting, and fishing.

In later years I attended the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale where I studied commercial art and advertising. I moved to Cocoa Beach in 1980 to be closer to marine life, surfing, fishing and diving. I was employed by the Department of Defense at that time.

Robert Jahnke is the Owner & Operator of Island Graphics, established in 1989. Bob has worked in the sign & graphics industry for over 32 years and attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, where he studied commercial art and advertising design. He has been featured for his art and signs in: Florida Today, SignCraft Magazine, and AutoArt Magazine.

I recently retired and have transitioned from commercial art to fine art.

Robert is a member of Brevard Cultural Alliance and a participant in the exhibit program.  He currently has artwork on display in SAVANT Wealth Management Co. on Satellite Beach.
